Trans-Pacific Partnership

The proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would bolster trade relationships between North America and the Asia-Pacific region. This potential partnership would encourage scientific and agricultural innovation and lower international trade barriers, helping to improve global access to affordable, nutritious food. By allowing food to move from places of plenty to places of need, TPP can help ensure that food reaches vulnerable populations around the globe.

The text of the TPP agreement has not been released, so the details of the trade negotiations are still not known yet. Trade is a key pillar to building a food-secure world. Food needs to move from places of plenty to places of need. Sign up for the ENOUGH newsletter to learn more about the impact trade and TPP have on food security around the world.
